OUR CLUB
The ERC is a group of enthusiastic Mountain Bikers with a passion for riding and community. We have come together in order to help ensure open space trails for the future of our community and families.
The ERC is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) of all volunteers
The ERC is working hand in hand with the Merced Irrigation District to turn the Echequer Mountain Bike Park into a destination for all riders.
The ERC is supported by many local and national businesses, clubs, and organizations.
THE PARK
The Exchequer Mountain Bike Park is very unique as it is a Mountain Bike Only Park. Lake McClure offers many recreation opportunities for all users, yet this section is only for Mountain Bikes. This excites us knowing that the conflicts between user groups are eliminated as there will be no hikers and horses on the Mountain Bike trails. This is an amazing opportunity for the biking communtiy.
The ERC's main focus of fundraising and work is dedicated to a 700 acre parcel of land owned by the Merced Irrigation District. The parcel of land is located at the Barrett Cove Recreation area of Lake McClure in Central California. The Exchequer Mountain Bike Park Borders the lake, as well as the campground and all of its facilities.
We are striving toward the goal of a park for all riders with all abilites. Some of the future goals we have for the park are as follows-
-Trails from beginner to advanced
-40 miles of mapped and signed trails
-Technical features with progression to encourage learning
-Special trails for specific user groups
-Adapted Cyclists
-Kid Trailer Users
-Youth Trails
-XC, Downhill, Enduro, Cyclocross, Etc.
